I have been looking for my father his name was Robert M. Jackson was posted on CFB Esquimalt Victoria B.C. around the years of 1984 - 1985 undetermined of what ship due to mothers death. l"Looking for my biological grandmother who gave up my father (deceased) for adoption. His birthday is Nov 26 1947, born in Victoria, B.C. Canada. Looking for the descendants of Georges O. Lévesque, born Oct 1903 in Lawrence, Mass., USA, and who died Aug 18, 1963 (according to Dept., of Defense, Canada). His parents were: Georges Lévesque born: June 1st, in Trois- Pistoles, Québec, and Léa Bergeron, born in South Durham, Québec. They were married Apr 2nd, 1902, in Lawrence, Mass., USA and later moved to Montreal. Georges had 3 bothers, twins named: Elzéar Albert and Emile Alfred, born in 1909, in Rivière du Loup, Québec, and Charles Napoléon, born Feb 1905, in Lawrence, Mass., USA. One sister: Léa Eva Anna, born in Rivière du Loup, Québec, in Feb 1908. A second sister died early as a child: Cécile Bernadette: born Mar 1911, died Aug 1911. The father served in the Spanish Amercian War of 1898. He died in Montréal in Aug, 1918. One twin, Elzéar Albert died in 1932. He, along with his mother who died in Montreal, 1939, are buried in Hawthorn Dale Cemetery, in Montreal (Pointe-aux-Trembles). Georges O. Lévesque after serving in the Canadian Army, moved West to Vancouver, and it is believed, had 2 daughters. He spent most of his life in Western Canada. I am helping a friend look for her birth sister. They are full sisters with the same biological parents. The woman we are looking for was born Dec 1960 at the General Hospital in Calgary, Alberta. Her birth name was April Lynn Nesbitt. Her birth parents kept her until she was about 2.5 – 3 years of age. She was then put into foster care until she was approximately 6 years of age. We then believe she was adopted by her foster parents around 1966-1967 (possibly in Edmonton, Alberta). Looking for info or descendants of EMILY BLANCHE (nee MUTTRAM) and WILLIAM HITCHCOCK MOORE who emigrated to Saskatchewan sometime after 1907 marriage. Both were from Plymouth, Devon and Emily was first cousin to my grandfather. What I know for certain is that she died in Saskatoon 05 Oct 1942 - noted in her aunt Harriett Sarah Pawley's diary. Looking for my Half-Brother. I don't have a lot of info. He would have been born in Vancouver in 1948 to 1950. His name at birth was Gary. My father, Thomas N. (Newt) Ward (1889-1967) spent several years in Calgary, Alberta, c. 1910-1917. He was an employee of Alberta Government Telephone and played first base on the Hillhurst Hustlers baseball team, 1915 Alberta Champions. I have some clippings from the Calgary News of 1915, but earlier and later accounts are long gone. Now I am 84, grew up on stories of my father's time in Canada with his brother Charles (Chuck) Ward, and would love to find additional facts to confirm my memories for my children and grandchildren etc. Chuck was born in 1887 in Arizona Territory, and Newt in El Paso Texas. They had many friends in the Princess Pat Regiment (WW1) who were lost early in the War. He returned to Philadelphia about 1917 where he lived until his death in 1967. I'm looking for my biological father. If alive he would be in his late 70s to early 80s. I'm also seeking any half brothers or half sisters who might be Lucky's other offspring. I believe that his name is or was Leo or "Lucky" Leroux (or Larue; or L'heureux;). He originated from Sudbury, Ont. "Lucky" was the biological father of a baby, Gerry William Duncan, born in Sept, 1945, to a woman whom "Lucky" dated. Her name was Grace Isabella Lamb. She was born in 1917 in Edmonton in Oct. 1924. Mr. Leroux was aware at that time of his biological child's existence. In fact, rumour has it that he strongly wished to take the baby home to his mother. This option was overruled by Ms. Lamb's family. Lucky would likely have been born sometime between 1917 and 1927. His home and family at that time were Sudbury, Ont. During WWII and for 1944 & 1945 (possibly longer) he was stationed with the navy in B.C., specifically in the Vancouver area. He used to date Grace Isabella Lamb (now deceased) when she was 17 and he was possibly a little older. Occasionally Lucky & Grace and Bill and "Gussy" (Ruth) used to go out on double dates. Occasioonally they went to HMCS Discovery, located at Stanley Park, Vancouver, B.C. Lucky and Gerry's mother used to double date with this woman named Ruth, nick name "Gussy" and her date, a man named William (Bill) Crighton Duncan. Mr. William Duncan thereafter married Grace Isabella Lamb and Mr. Duncan adopted the infant, Gerry William Duncan. He and Grace have both passed away. Looking for lost brother WALTER GROTZKI born abt 1948 at the Misericordia hospital Edmonton. His biological parents were John and Violet Grotzki from Edmonton. He has 2 sisters and 1 brother. They were left along with Walter at 2 seperate orphanages in Edmonton (girls in one and boys in another) abt 1954 when the family split up. His sister Shiela has been looking for many years to contact her brother Walter. If he is willing. She has gone through most legal channels without results. There mother Violet was employed later as a house keeper by a man named Merle whom she eventually married. Shiela and the other 2 siblings were later taken back by Merle and Violet. The children had only spent a few months in the homes. Shiela believes that Walter was either left behind for unknown reasons to her or already adopted, she does not know. My name is Jacqui. I have an older brother that was born between 1960 and 1964. He was born in Calgary, Alberta. I believe he was named Cameron by his birth mother. Her maiden name was Suzanne Alexander. I was also told that he may have been adopted by a German couple in Edmonton and that he was born and/or adopted in the month of Apr. I started looking for him in 1993 with the Triad Society but no responses. At this time, I am hoping that I may have the opportunity to talk to him. Looking for my birth mother’s family. I believe she was born in Ranchville, Alberta in 1922. Her name is Helen May Trainer. Not sure if Trainer is her maiden name or a married name. I'm looking for any info on the whereabouts of my father William (Bill) Simpson. I was born in Toronto in 1953 my father was in the Canadian Navy and was a submariner on loan to the Royal Navy. We all went over to the UK and when my father returned to Canada in 1968 I believe it was the Campbell River area of BC my mother and I stayed in the UK. Searching for Frederick Taylor & his family. His wife was Bernice Younghusband, they married in 1912 & had 3 children that I am aware of: John, Everard, & Barbara. I am trying to find my father his name is John Alfred Hogbin. He emigrated to Canada in 1980, he used to live in Ashford Kent England, and I was about 7 when he left the family home. He remarried to a lady called Cindy who has 2 grown children called Jane and Mark. I have no idea where in Canada they are and am desperate to make contact. Looking for Benoit/Bynoe/Benoe from British Columbia in 1966. I have spent the better part of my life, piecing our family together and everyday a new page is open. I am asking for help in finding my sisters birth father. His name was apparently "Willy Benoit or Bynoe or Benoe". He knew a woman named Gladys Palmer and she gave birth to a girl on Apr 8, 1966. She may have possibly named her Brenda at birth but her adopted name is Lisa. Willy lived in British Columbia, perhaps the Vancouver area and then apparently moved back East when he was denied access to the child, so the story goes. GOLDMAN, ROBERT RICHARD, born in Wpg. Mother was Ms. Goldman, born 1910-11 in Saskatchewan. She was of Jewish descent. All we know is she married and moved to Chicago. Robert was placed in a boarding home in Saskatchewan till Feb 1933; then moved to an orphanage in Wpg and adopted in spring 1933. Father was Jack Pinkerton born late 1890's in Kelvington Saskatchewan. Was of Irish descent. Married Mia in 1930's and had 3 sons. Jack passed away in 1973 and is buried in Kelvington Saskatchewan. Have been looking for info about my family who consisted of Kamiel and Madeline De Bruyne with the following siblings: Terisa, John, Irene, Florence, and Anne and James Morris. HANNA: I am ORVAL HANNA's daughter. The last time I saw my father was when I was 9 years old, which was over 20 years ago. My family moved out of Canada and we lost touch with him. My mother told me that he was originally from Saskatchewan and had a brother named Harold who apparently had twin daughters. My father was also married twice and had an adopted daughter with his first wife. He lived in Toronto and also managed a GM auto dealership before retiring to Burnt River, Ont. Searching for my half brother, SHAYNE or SHANE, mother a school teacher, biological father's name DONALD GORDON UNGER, of CHILLIWACK, BC. Shayne would have been born around 1965/66/67, probably in the lower mainland area, and remained living with his mother, I think, and had no contact with Don. Donald's parents were MARY and CORNELIUS UNGER of CHILLIWACK, his siblings were EILEEN and JACOB(JAKE). It is believed that Shayne's mother was remarried and possible that Shayne assumed his step-father's last name. I am not sure that Shayne is even aware that he has family looking for him. DUCKWORTH/IRELAND: Parthenay Jane Ireland born in Middlesex County, Ont. to John and Jane Ireland. I believe her mother died and her father, John Ireland moved to Halton County, Ont., remarried Anne Robinson and had 5 or 6 sons. The family then moved to West Garafraxa Township, Wellington County, Ont., were Parthenay married Thomas Duckworth and they then moved to Calgary and had 4 children there. Looking for info on a Charles Emanuel STANLEY. Married Theodora Neal of Stonewall, Manitoba. Charles family originally from Ireland and I believe they sailed to California. Both of Charles parents and a sibling died in California cause unknown Charles then headed to Pennsylvania for awhile and then eventually ended up in Manitoba. For awhile Charles and Theodora lived in Stonewall, and around the Inwood area of Manitoba. The family broke up Theodora moved to BC Charles was taken in by the "nuns" up until his death. He died in Manitoba (Winnipeg) we do not have a date of death or which nuns had taken him in, he worked as a handyman for them for his board and room, any info will be greatly appreciated. My wife Geralyn was born, Laura Janice Mather in June 1947 at Grace Hospital in Toronto, Ont. Her mother Hilda (Eileen) Mather. Eileen returned to Alberta after my wife was born. She might possibly have gone to Lloydminster Alberta with her father Matthew Mather Jr. Eileen has 3 older siblings, Peercy, Allan, Phyllis. Her paternal uncles are Jim, Herb and Jack Mather. Looking for any info on my maternal Grandmother Violet McCRONE PLATT (nee TUCKER we think). My Grandfather was ERNEST FREDERICK McCRONE PLATT. They were living in CRESTON BC in Jan 1911, and their first child, DOROTHY JOYCE KATHLEEN PLATT, was born there 10 Nov 1911. My mother BERYL MAI PLATT was born in BALFOUR 23 Sept 1913. ERNEST FREDERICK McCRONE PLATT is recorded on the Roll of Honour of the men who went to fight in the First World War, on the wall of a tiny white wooden church in Creston. My mother and her sister were brought up in orphanages and foster homes, until they were brought to England to live. She was never allowed to ask about her mother. The only info I have is a note in the back of a Prayer Book, that says she died in 1915. Please, please, if anyone has any info, we would dearly love to know where she died and if we have any more relations in Canada. Please contact Sue.

I am doing a geneology study on my father's parents. I have little info to go on. My grandfather's name is Peter SEMCHYSHYN and he resided in Ituna. He married Julia KRZAN. DO YOU REMEMBER DAVID WEBSTER GOODWIN- RCAF? David Webster Goodwin served with the RCAF in the Second World War. Flying Officer (Pilot) Goodwin - Service Number J/25874, 24 OTU, RCAF, was from Kaledan, BC. He was flying in a Whitley aircraft along with 5 other Canadians, on the night of May 22/23, 1944. They were on a ‘Nickel’ sortie - leaflet dropping mission, as a build-up to the D-Day landings at Normandy in June 1944. The aircraft crashed in Sées, a small town near Alençon. All crewmembers were killed. The Germans attended the crash scene and left the bodies of the 6 crewmen in a common grave. It was not until late 1945 when the Commonwealth War Graves Commission exhumed the 6 bodies and re-interred them at the Canadian War Cemetery at Bretteville-sur-Laize, Calvados,France. The 6 bodies rest in a collective grave, XXVII.G.4-7. Flying Officer, Goodwin was 23 years of age at the time of his death. On May 5, 2005, the town in France is planning to erect a memorial to the crew and are hoping family members of the Canadian airmen will be able to attend the ceremonies. The town is very grateful for the part the Canadian forces played in the liberation of their country. Searching for info on the family of Mary Jane Archer who was listed on the 1881 Canada Census. She was a widow at that time. Her children's names were Scelina, James, Eliza J., William and David. William was my Grandfather who moved to Melville Saskatchewan in 1912. Mary Jane married William Brock before 1891 as they were listed as a blended family at the time of that census - at Belmont Township. Their children were listed as: Eliza Jane, William, Joseph, Elizabeth (Catherine), and Lelitia. I have in my possession a card notifying William Archer of his mother's death. She is named Mary Jane Akins (relict of the late William Brock. She died on Sept 29, 1923 and is buried at Maple Grove Cemetery on Oct 1, 1923. Researching the GREENSIDES family name. I am particularly interested in info about 2 of my grandfather's brothers, Frank (and wife Alice Coulson and family) and Robert. Looking for my Uncle, Bill Mason. His last known address was in Drayton Valley, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He was born in Great Harwood, Lancashire, UK, on June 1946 or 47. He had 3 sisters, Brenda, Eileen and Dorothy, and 3 brothers Jim, Harry and the late Leo. He emigrated to Canada, I think in 1965, with his brother Harry. As far as I know they both lived in Calgary for a while. Uncle Bill was married in the late 60s to a lady called Gerry, this sadly ended in divorce some time after.
