I am writing a thesis about the Free Grant
Act of 1868, focusing on Stephenson Township. Thomas Gerrard King settled near
Lancelot on concession road 12, lot 18, and his mother, Harriet Barbara King,
joined him in 1871 and settled on lot 20, same concession. She left in 1875
for Britain, but I would like to know what happened to her son and
descendants. I am also interested in looking at any secondary or primary
sources from the Utterson/Lancelot area from the 1870s, particularly copies of
the Free Grant Gazette. Please contact Donna.

Looking for new info pertaining to the
HEFFERNAN family (Margaret, Loretta, Francis J., John L., and Joseph D.) who
were listed in the 1901 Ontario (Himsworth) Census (Parry Sound and Muskoka
Districts). Some transcribers incorrectly spelled their surnames as
"Hoffeman." Margaret (nee Quinn) HEFFERNAN (b. 1857) was my gr-grandfather's
second wife. Their daughter, Loretta (transcribers mispelled her name as
"Loulta"), later married Hugh (also known as Hugo) EVERS who is also listed
with the EVERS family in the same census. Any info re: the HEFFERNAN and EVERS
families in the Parry Sound & Muskoka Districts would be greatly
appreciated. Please contact Clifton.

I was wondering if you could possibly help me
find out where my brother is burried. I was told that there is a cemetary on
the outskirts of town (Parry Sound) that is currently being used. I know that
he is beside his grandfather who passed on about 4 years ago, and he himself
was laid to rest there only about 4 weeks ago. Please tell me how I can find
out; I need to visit. Please contact Heather.
